Grassy Creek Baptist Church- North Carolina

Over the summer I had the opportunity to attend a 2 week session at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. I was able to work with a great photographer, Fritz Hoffman. Our assignment was a visual narrative. I chose to document a Baptist church called Grassy Creek Baptist Church. I was amazed by the christian culture in North Carolina and wanted to learn more because I had not grown up in this type of culture. I contacted Grassy Creek and Rev. Matthew Mills and his congregation welcomed me into the church and invited me to many of their meetings. This is was I found visually interesting about this church and its people and my hope it portrays them accurately.
